Welcome to Harvest!
We would love to invite you to experience the love, grace and mercy of God here at Harvest Anglican! Our family (with the support of the Diocese of the Carolinas) prayerfully partnered together to launch an Anglican church for the greater Golden Strip area in August 2021.
“Seeking the heart of Jesus; Serving the hearts of people in his name.”
The journey of church planting has been exciting, and wonderful! The vision for Harvest Anglican Church began as a calling for me and my family in the Simpsonville area—to plant an Anglican Church that (1) worships passionately in the Eucharist (beautifully combining both modern music and traditional hymns that exalts Christ), that is (2) welcoming and authentic as a faith community, and is (3) devoted to God and to one another in Christian love.
Since the early days of planting Harvest, God has continued to bless our family for “stepping out” in faith and obedience in miraculous ways. We went from worshiping periodically in our backyard during the global pandemic (in early 2021) with just a few families, to officially launching weekly worship as a “mission” of the Diocese in August of 2021 at a local YMCA. We then had to “pick up our tent” to move again to Temple Baptist Church in 2023 (as the YMCA sold).
It’s been fun, because even with the challenges of not having a permanent space, God kept growing Harvest—to where we became an official “congregation” within the Diocese in March, 2025!
Glory to God, because just after becoming a congregation, we were able to purchase our own church property in the heart of Simpsonville. There is so much to be excited about, and we would love for you to come and see what the Lord is up to at Harvest. We are already praying for you! Welcome home to Harvest!
Grace and peace,
The Rev. Travis Abercrombie, Rector
