Harvest Students (9th-12th) have many opportunities during the school year to experience real community here within the ENTIRE Harvest family as we worship, and do “life” and mission together.
Youth Retreats
9th-12th grade school students are invited to go away at least once a year with other adult leaders and other churches of our Diocese for a time of retreat! We typically go away to the coast or to the mountains for a weekend to worship, to hear and digest biblical teaching and of course, have fun!
“Campfire Conversations”
Occasionally, our high school students gather at Pastor Travis’ home or at the church pavilion with other adult volunteers to just talk about issues of life and faith around the campfire. This setting always breeds open and honest discussion to help build and equip our kids for a life of faith and discipleship.
Typical Sunday Night Hangout
During the Fall and Spring school year, we offer a high school Sunday night (5:00 - 7:00 pm) time for the high schoolers to come hang out, play backyard games, and dive into some good biblical teaching and small group time… to build relationships and community. When we do these events, we gather at the church backyard with other adult ministry leaders. Check the calendar to see our next gathering.
“Big’s” Chicks
“Big” is an affectionate nickname of one of our senior high adult leaders, Mary Carol Abercrombie. She is called that because she has a HUGE personality! This Senior high girls group occasionally meets at Culver’s or somewhere similar for food, encouragement and Bible study! Find out more info HERE.
