Leadership
Travis Abercrombie
RECTOR
Travis has been married to his wife, Caci, since 2002 and together they have twin boys, Will and Owen. He is a native of Simpsonville and went to Mauldin High School (class of ‘92). Caci is also from the upstate (Powdersville) and went to Wren and is currently a RN Supervisor with the Greenville Co. School District. They are both Clemson graduates.
Travis was called into vocational ministry in 2008, and spent 12 years in full time ministry before being distinctly called toward the beauty of the liturgy in the Anglican Church and to plant Harvest Anglican Church (that officially launched in August 2021). He has both a Masters in Worship Studies and a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.
In his free time, he enjoys boating, music, art, or just relaxing in the shade somewhere in a rocking chair—enjoying the beauty of God’s creation!

David Adams
PASTORAL ASSOCIATE
David is currently the part-time pastoral associate here at Harvest and helps with preaching, sacraments, liturgy and pastoral care. He is part-time because he also serves in pastoral care with our mother church at St. Paul’s in downtown Greenville.
He and his wife, Debbie, have two children Ann Carver and David and live here in Simpsonville.
June Hershey
CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR
June is the Church Administrator for Harvest Anglican. She has a tremendous heart to serve the Lord and his church and comes with a lot of experience. Whatever is going on in the church, June is right there helping! We are blessed to have her.
Riley Grant
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Riley has 35+ years of experience with children including being a Camp St. Christopher Summer Staff, an Elementary Classroom Teacher (4K-4th grades/primarily Kindergarten), a Media Specialist, and a Youth Ministry and Director of Christian Education.
She and her husband Barry have one daughter, Mary Everett.
Riley will be working hard to help parents equip their children in the Christian faith and Anglican Tradition--to instill the real, tangible love of Jesus Christ in their little hearts that will last forever and ever.
Chris Powell
WORSHIP MUSICIAN (cello & piano)
Chris relocated to SC in 2008 to marry his wife, Cara. He is a native of Louisville, KY and Cara is from Taylors, SC. He has played with various local Orchestras and small groups and when not playing at church, can usually be found playing a wedding ceremony somewhere in the area. Chris first started playing the cello when he was in 3rd grade and began playing in the church not long after. He also plays the piano.
From Harvest’s early beginnings, Chris has always been called by God to head up this amazing ministry of worship, and we are so grateful.
Outside of music, Chris loves working on cars in this garage and taking cruises in the mountains with Cara to explore the amazing sights this area is known for.
Casey Legg
DISCIPLESHIP ASSOCIATE
Casey and his wife, Kendal, moved to the Greenville area in the summer of 2025 and quickly found a home at Harvest Church. They are thankful for the opportunity to worship, grow, and serve alongside the people here.
He helps lead the Young Adults ministry, the men's Bible study, and he assists Travis and David in developing discipleship resources that equip members to grow in their faith.
Throughout his ministry, Casey has served in a variety of leadership roles, including leading college and young adult ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) huddles, and needs-based outreach ministries. He also earned a doctorate in executive leadership from the University of Charleston in West Virginia.
In his free time, Casey enjoys hiking, walking, reading, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
Michelle Mortland

Michelle teaches children and has for over 25 years and serves in as our nursery supervisor and Kids Church helper. Her joy is to see the little ones come to know Jesus at an early age!
